The Poetic Corner

Busy I entered the dining room And smelled cooking mushroom... On the dining table sat a roast, Waiting for the people to raise a toast... Beside it sat the tasty plum cake, Waiting to be cut eagerly after bake... The gingerbread and cookies looked tasty While the dining room was empty but feasty... In the hall,the tree was adorned with hangings,  Waiting for the people to praise the danglings...  But you wonder where the people are-  And so do I wonder where the people are...  Finally I found them,  All were busy creating a mayhem...  Forgetting the delicious gorgings And busy in their own workings  Some swayed to music, While others bragged of their new tunic, Some were busy opening gifts, While some were talking of upcoming rifts.  Finally arrived the host, And asked everyone to come for toast... So that the goodies could n't be forgotten And everyone entered the cosy den... For it was the eve of Christmas Yes the most awa

Worthy I asked" Is world a worthy place to live? A place where everyone take not give, A place where everyone pretends, A place with low gratis lends, A place where none will ever bend. Is it not, that is like a trend For their comes nothing but sadness And it lurks around such,that there is no happiness?" I replied"Why not think clear? And remove the screen that makes things blear Simplicity is the best trend you know! Not good but bad habits are easy to grow! Teacher The world considers thee to always take a test But I don't care of the rest For, I feel,o teacher... That you are like a pitcher  Yes indeed, a knowledge filled pitcher, Which has this one awesome feature! That thou is so skilled and learned And can turn a pile of clay That none can question in any way, In such a model; tried, tested and burned Which shines like gold, In any shop they go For they'll be bold Yet be polite and show The true meaning of knowledge For you, o pitcher! Hath moulded me in such a creature Which would have been anything But a useful thing, Without thee, o kind sage! Flattery What is flattery? To turn others buttery, By drowning them with phrases, Dipped in praises.                                                                              What is flattery? To turn one jittery, By drowning them in words of abbreviation, Dipped in appreciation.                                                       What is flattery?
